With some issues it is only natural that they result in objects which do have an ornamental function, but are not wearable, or only with certain restrictions. This is often because of the materials used, their size or sturdiness.

The latest pieces in this category are the brooches in the ‘Social Distancing’ series, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this case I used acupuncture needles, which make it difficult to wear these objects as brooches..
